We believe in comprehensive and sustainable development, always aimed at promoting economic, social, and environmental balance. That is why we have assumed a commitment in the areas of education, culture and sports, citizenship, and the environment, among other segments, which have made us a reference in the market.
We are a reference in the sector and recognized in the market for the commitments assumed in our daily corporate operations for the adoption of business practices based on ethical and responsible values in socio-environmental areas. In addition to that, we are the only six-time winner pharmaceutical company in the “Exame Sustainability Guide” ranking.
The journey in search for the best practices has led us many times to anticipate our actions in relation to enacted legislations, and we have always been ahead as regards the goals established for the sector (“Commitment and demands to build the future we all want,” a document elaborated by the Ethos Institute during the Rio+20 Conference).
The perennial focus on sustainable development is one of Eurofarma’s strategic pillars, as a part of our commitment with the future and the next generations. From small to great attitudes and causes, we have daily built and solidified important foundations in synergy with our values and ideals regarding sustainability and social responsibility. Our actions are based on investments in technologies and the adoption of good practices to reduce as much as possible the company’s impact on the environment and contribute to build a fairer society.
Our business strategies are aligned with two global initiatives promoted by the United Nations Organization (UN), of which Eurofarma is a signatory. The first one of them, the Global Compact, is a corporate code of conduct for the adoption of the best practices in the areas such as human rights, labor relations, the environment, and the fight against corruption.
The Sustainable Development Booklet contains the main actions performed in 2023 in the economic, social and environmental spheres, with comparative data and testimonials that illustrate the impact on society. Always look to the future considering actions that can start generating transformation now – the company believes in this commitment to future generations. With this vision, Eurofarma strives for the complete development of society, with economic, social and environmental balance.

The second initiative is the 2030 Agenda, which defines the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), among which five have been prioritized at Eurofarma: SDG’s 3 (health and wellbeing), 4 (quality education), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 12 (responsible consumption and production) and 13 (action to combat climate change and its impacts).
Every two years, the company applies the Social Responsibility indicators tool self-diagnosis devised by the Ethos Institute, and the results have guided the decisions made by the Corporate Responsibility Committee and the action plans adopted in different areas of the Company. Since 2012, Eurofarma has been a member of Ethos Institute’s benchmarking group, and has been one of the 10 companies with the best performance in the evaluation scores.
Voluntary adhesions are a part of our commitment to the best governance practices validated by the company’s senior leadership. Based on these and many other initiatives, Eurofarma has strived to promote a healthy economic, social, and environmental balance.
